Sydney went with her dad all day on Saturday to a couple rodeos. She was so excited and loved every minute with him!
Saturday evening at the rodeo there was a boot race for the kids. Which is where all the kids put one boot in the pile and they have to race to the other end of the arena to find there boot and whoever makes it back first with their boot on is the winner. Sydney was all ready to run to get her boot, she's done this before already this year. :) So the buzzer sounds and they all take off to find there boot; Sydney finds hers, puts it on and heads back to the finish line. Heath said that she was in a really good position to win the whole thing but half way back she stops and helped a little 3 year old (who was the daughter of a fellow rodeo cowboy) who was crying. The 3 year old was scared, fell down, and couldn't get her boot on. Sydney stopped to help put her boot on, she even tried picking her up and carrying her but the 3 year old was just about as big as Sydney. So Sydney just took her hand and they ran together past the finish line. Everyone got a prize so all was well but that just makes my heart melt! The 3 year olds dad came by and shook Sydney's hand and told her thank you. He even told Heath that he was so thankful to Sydney for helping his little girl. That's my girl!! Everyday she makes me so proud to be her mother!
Friday night Heath was in the rodeo in O'Neill. Trace got to ride with his daddy in the arena to warm up Butters.
