Just Doin a Little Brandin

Grandpa and Grandma Hoffman's branding was today, this is Sydney's first branding that she got to help with. Of course this Nebraska weather always keeps us on our toes....it was 95 degrees today! WAY TO HOT!!! Trace got to spend time with Grandma because it was just too hot out for him.

Sydney was so happy to wear her new cowgirl jeans and chinks that she got for her birthday. She looked just like Daddy. :)

Sydney wasn't to thrilled about standing around where the baby calves were so she found a little seat with a perfect view.

Just helping out Grandpa Hoffman and taking it all in, she had her eyes peeled on the calf that they were "burning" as she calls it. 

Just making sure those guys do it right. :) Sydney and her Daddy had to go and gather the pairs so they could brand. She was in heaven today, she helped her dad and rode her horse. Some of the men that come to help brand have been doing this for MANY years that they commented that it just seemed like yesterday when Heath was a lot younger sitting on that same horse. Good ole Pepper is 18 years old and has been with Heath since he was a colt. 

Grandma sure does know how to cool a cowgirl off. 

Can't forget this cowboy. :) He did make an appearance at the branding. It was just too darn hot. The kids played/worked hard today so I'm thinking its going to be a early bed time.
