Planting Some Corn

On the road again...the kids and I went to  Fremont to celebrate Sydney's birthday. Friday we went to Texas Roadhouse to eat Sydney's favorite meal, steak! It may have slipped out that we were there to celebrate her birthday so the waiter gave her a "Texas Roadhouse Celebration" :)

They had her sit on the saddle while they sang and Yee-Hawed! She was a little embarrassed but she loved it. 

Mommy and Sydney. I still can't believe she is 4. Sigh....

Saturday morning I helped my dad get the planter filled so he could finish planting his last two fields of corn. The kids woke up when it was time to move everything to the field. They watched that tractor and planter like a hawk while Grandpa planted. 

Grandpa stopped to give them a ride as he planted. I wonder how straight those rows will be. :) The kids didn't have time to change out of there pajamas before we had to go to the field but it didn't seem to bother them. 

This is a picture of them making there way back from planting corn. Trace was driving and had Grandpa's hat on. They both loved it but it was hard getting them out of the tractor!! 

After planting corn, Grandma, Sydney, Trace, Jennifer, and I made our way to Omaha. Aunt Jennifer had a surprise for Sydney. 

Build A Bear!!! I have to say that this store is so neat and very kid friendly. Once you get there you have to pick out what kind of bear you would like. They had a whole wall full of bears, of course Sydney picked out the princess bear. 

Then it's off to the stuffing station. Sydney is running the foot peddle while her bear is getting stuffed. 

Sydney is putting her red heart in the bear of course every bear needs a heart. :) This bear also has a music box in it that plays the My Little Pony theme song. 

Then it's time to go shopping for your bear. It can't be naked! Sydney's bear needed a dress, underwear, high heel shoes, a tiara, a magic wand, and don't forget every bear needs a purse. 

Now it's time to name your bear. Aunt Jennifer and Sydney came up with "Miss Beary". Here you make your bear's birth certificate. 

Miss Beary and Sydney! Best friends forever. 

She was so excited about her bear and she wanted to show everyone. She really didn't want for Miss Beary to be put in the box to take her home but as long as she got to carry the box then it was ok. 

Oh...what a fun little trip for all of us. 

Of course at Build A Bear Trace found the only cars in the place and started to line them up to race. He was making the car sounds while trying to turn the little wheels. Oh boys...

Once we got back to Grandma and Grandpa's house from Omaha we had to help Uncle Todd feed the cattle. The kids and I took the Gator and opened all the gates to the cattle pens. It took a while to get it all done but the kids had a blast.
