Sydney is into this "screeching" mode. She does it a little bit in this video but she sucks in air and makes a screeching sound....sometimes it sounds like she can't breathe but then she turns and smiles at you. :) Little stinker!
Her poor head is getting the worst treatment with this standing business. She falls and sometimes hits her head on stuff. So I go and pick her up and comfort her but the funniest thing is that she cries to me and then turns around in my arms and looks at what she hit her head on and cries to it too. I don't know if it is to yell at the wall/table/toy or what but she does it every time. Sometimes she falls on her butt and makes a little whiny sound...just so someone will look at her and give her sympathy...but I just look at her and tell her she is alright and she goes on and tries again.
On a somber note...we lost a friend on Friday. Jim Hollenback, age 53, died after a massive heart attack. Jim is the father of Heath's good friend Levi. It was a real shock to everyone in the Ewing community and people who knew him. Heath would sometimes help Jim and Levi with cattle or just to go over to Jim's house to rope. He will surely be missed! It sounds like Jim's wake will be in Clearwater on Tuesday and then the funeral will be Wednesday in Winner, South Dakota. Heath and I plan on going to the wake and the funeral but we will be leaving Sydney with April so we can go to Winner.
