This weekend Sydney and I went to my parents house to celebrate her birthday! She is going to have two birthdays this year...that way she can celebrate with both sides of the family. Sydney's birthday is May 11th and I know my dad and brother wouldn't be able to make the trip here to celebrate so we had a little party with the Aspy's a couple weeks before. Who says you can't have two birthday parties! :)
Sydney got to open up her gifts from everyone and it was funny! She would get one toy out of the packaging and we would take it away for her to open another gift and she didn't quite get why we were taking her new toy away. But she received a stuffed animal that talks, a makeup case that sings, an outdoor swing, a couple of outfits, and magnetic letters. Afterwards we ate lunch and Sydney had her cake. It didn't go as smoothly as I had planned cause that girl was TIRED!! She didn't want the cake and she didn't want to be in her seat. :) She ate a little of it and had it all over her face and hair.
Then it was time to start heading back home. She was asleep within a couple of miles from Grandma and Grandpa Aspy's place, she ended up sleeping the whole way home!! That's almost 3 hours!
I brought a mower home from Fremont...and it was well needed! Heath mowed for me on Sunday which was great! Our lawn looks a 100% better! Sydney even went for a ride with her daddy. She didn't know what to think at first but then she loved it! Heath even put up Sydney's new swing that she got from Uncle Todd for her birthday. She loved being outside sitting in her swing looking around.
Oh funny thing happened.....Some of Heath's family and friends stopped over after church on Sunday and Sydney didn't have a nap. I tried putting her down but there was just to much going on for her to sleep! She didn't want to miss anything you know! Well she kept on playing in the kitchen with her new magnets and the guys were in there playing cards when all of the sudden there was a thump. Sydney was fighting sleep so much that she fell asleep sitting up and eventually fell over! LOL!
